September 3-6 is “Stair Week!”

For many, their job has them spending much of their day indoors, often engaged in sedentary occupations. Climbing the stairs, although brief, is one of the most accessible and economical ways to participate in some form of regular physical activity within long periods of inactivity.

GMB is pleased to be a supporter of Stair Week, a collaboration of the American Institute of Architects, United States Green Building Council, International Interior Design Association, the Ottawa, Kent and Muskegon County Health Depts., United Way and Kendall College of Art & Design. Stair Week is intended to promote healthier lifestyles by encouraging the community to take the stairs.
So get up and raise your fitness level one step at a time. Take the stairs.
