GMB Architecture + Engineering President Harm Perdok Announces Retirement
Holland, MI, October 29, 2014 – After 31 years as an employee at GMB Architecture + Engineering (GMB), including the last eleven years as President, Harm Perdok has announced his plans to retire, effective June, 2015.
Mr. Perdok’s tenure with GMB began in 1983 when he was hired as a draftsman. He became a shareholder in 1989, serving as Vice President until 2004 when he was then named President.
The past 11 years have been a period of significant change and growth for the Holland, MI-based firm. Some of the changes including extending services nationally to over 20 states, offering expanded services, increasing revenues, doubling the workforce and opening new offices in Grand Rapids and Indianapolis.
This transition of leadership has been in the works for some time and will continue to be a smooth, intentional process. Of his decision to retire in June, Perdok says, “The timing is perfect for GMB’s next step in growth and evolution. My departure provides a platform for new leadership in order to launch GMB into the future.”
Succeeding him in June of 2015 will be David Bolt
