GMB is currently interviewing for a long term opportunity, full time, direct hire PLUMBING DESIGNER to join our team.

GMB is a growing firm delivering comprehensive architecture, engineering and interior design services. Our 90-member team is based in three offices in Holland and Grand Rapids, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana. We specialize in serving clients in K-12 education, higher education, senior living, corporate, industrial and healthcare industries.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing design experience in an AE firm required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Plumbing Design / Engineering (or degree related to HVAC Design or Mechanical Engineering) required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both Revit and AutoCAD 3D required.
• Able to create 3D models focusing on HVAC.
CPD desired.
• Able to implement designs through construction.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to manage design of multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
• This is a direct, full time, permanent position, and compensation will be commensurate with experience, including an excellent benefit package.

ARCHITECTURAL CAD TECHNICIAN

GMB is currently interviewing for full time, direct hire ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIANS at our Holland, Grand Rapids or Indianapolis offices. We are seeking professionals that have a strong background with Revit in the discipline of Architecture. Responsibilities include collaborating with the firm’s architects and engineers in all aspects of project design and construction documentation.

What are some of the things you’ll get to do in this job?
• Prepare construction drawings from sketches, notes, details and/or verbal instructions.
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, detail schedules, etc.
• Analyze information available to determine and plan best approach to develop and complete drawings.
• May act in a project coordinator capacity at times.

What are some of the basic requirements to work for us?
• Minimum two (2) year associate’s degree in engineering / drafting technology or related
2+ years’ experience preferred.
MUST demonstrate proficiency in using Revit Architecture
• Ability to use Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Microstation, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling, Animation, Rendering computer graphics programs a plus
• Experience with architectural, engineering or construction drawings.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.A.

• Discipline-specific Revit modeling experience working on one or more of the following building types: commercial, corporate, institutional/civic, education or healthcare.

PROJECT ARCHITECT
GMB is currently interviewing for full time, direct hire PROJECT ARCHITECTS at our Holland, Grand Rapids and Indianapolis offices. Responsibilities include collaborating with the firm’s architects and engineers in all aspects of project design, construction documentation and field observation.

• The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
• Registration is preferred.
LEED Accredited Professional is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an Architectural Firm required.
• Experience with Higher Education, Industrial and Commercial projects required.
• Large project experience required, in the range of $5M to $500M.
• Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
• Knowledge of architectural building systems, sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
• The successful candidate will have a strong design sensitivity and thoroughness in drawing and project organization.
• Must be able to execute architectural details well.
• Familiarity with specification writing.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in CAD, 3D Modeling software, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Experience in Newforma preferred.
• The outstanding candidate should have the ability to consult with external clients and have excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent opportunity for experienced engineer focusing on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability. Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; 5+ years of architecture and engineering project management experience; strong experience and knowledge in HVAC and mechanical systems. Candidate should have outstanding communication skills and the ability to consult with customers at their work site. Large project experience required, in the range of $5M to $250M. Proven ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously. CAD and 3D/Revit experience and LEED accreditation preferred. Experience with sustainable design, high performance design and/or USGBC LEED rating is preferred. Professional engineering registration required. This is a direct, full time, permanent position, and compensation will be commensurate with experience, including an excellent benefit package.
